Teaser Tuesday!

Hi, guys!

I haven't done a Teaser Tuesday in soooo long, but since the release of SECOND CHANCE SUMMER is approaching, I'll be posting an excerpt or two on here, as well as the images my amazing blogger friends share on social media. You can find them all here along with other images on Pinterest: Second Chance Summer Board

In case you were wondering, the exact release date for SCS will be released with the cover and blurb on Sunday. This gives me time to finish my revisions! Since I officially started this book last December, it needs heavier editing than my normal books. Since I'm due in just over three weeks I want to guarantee I can get the book to you on the date I say! I have released the first few lines of the book over on Goodreads, and it's also now here. (Click HERE to go to GR to add Second Chance Summer to your TBR.)

Kia James was never meant to return to her hometown of Harlan Grove, Alabama... But she has.
And Reese Pembleton was definitely not supposed to still be in love with her the way she is him... But he is.

Now, onto the teaser!

Disclaimer: This is from the unedited version of the book and is subject to change or removal before publication.

“If you love me, Reese, then it’s the me you knew a year ago.” I walk toward the house. “I’ve changed in that year; I’ve grown up.”
“You think that makes you so different?”
“I know it does!” I stop and run my fingers through my hair, turning to him. “I know I’m different. I know I’m not the girl I was last year, the girl you say you love.”
“Huh.” He stands and tilts his head to the side. “That’s funny, because the girl I know and you have a lot in common.”
“Like what?”
“The way you smile when you’re genuinely happy. The shadow of sadness in the back of your eyes you think no one can see. The way you bite your lip when you’re concentrating, the way you run your fingers through your hair when you’re frustrated. But you know what else is the same? The way you walk away every single time.”
