Work in Progress Teaser!

I'm liking teasers right now. I don't know why.. So maybe it's best not to ask. :)

Anyway, as well as gathering my thoughts for Unfulfilled, book 6 of The Mauve Legacy, I also have a little something else I'm working on. Destiny has taken a back seat as I'm unsure where it's going, so I'm onto something else.

I know, I know, my imagination is wayward. But I'm not going to complain, because I'm loving my little romance I'm writing.

You want details? Oh.. Go on then. I'll give you a few.

It's set in the wonderful place that is North Devon. The village in which it's set is entirely fictional, but made up of details from very real places in North Devon. I couldn't decide which town I wanted to use so I decided to use a little of all of them. I've kept the other locations used completely real.

They say you should 'write what you know', and after 19 years I know Devon very, very well, so I thought 'why not?'

It's a complete first love story. Girl meets boy on summer holidays, rah rah rah. But there's also a little something else in it that rocks the boat.. But that's all I'm saying on that. *zips lips*

I also happen to be re-reading Light of the Moon by the blames-his-crazy-on-coffee David James. I figured you guys were getting fed of hearing about me, me, me, so I'm going to leave reviews for some awesome books by awesome people.

But, until then, I suppose you want that teaser from my work-in-progress, hmm? Okay. Go on then.

"Have you ever seen the world outside of London?"
"Of course I have, Alec. I'm looking at it right now."
"But have you really seen it? Have you ever really taken the time to look at anything besides skyscrapers, the walls of the underground and the inside of Harvey Nicholls? The world is a beautiful place, you just have to open your eyes and see it. There are so many amazing things out there waiting for you to discover them. Just open your heart." He starts walking backwards towards his Jeep. "You're so uptight sometimes.."
"I am not!" I protest and fold my arms across my chest. He raises his eyebrows.
"Every once in a while you gotta just stop worrying, stop thinking, and let go. Hell, Lexy, you gotta have some fun in your life. Trust me, it'll be worth it."
